Geno Auriemma Method

Geno Auriemma Method

What I Have Learned From Geno Auriemma

"PERFECTION is an art form, carved from domination of time, a flawless patchwork, an unblemished surface that never loses its shine. Its sport was methodical, everyday in the WIN...every win by a wide margin. No one could know if this team was the "best of all time" but merely at the right time.  But it was one thing for certain: BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE! And for that...there will always be a place in history!"

Dedicated To The UCONN Women’s Basketball Team

"I don't want to just survive and advance,
I want to conquer and dominate."

The Pursuit Of Perfection Philsophy By Geno Auriemma

We are either coaching it or letting it happen.
What does 70 wins in a row do for us if we lose tomorrow?
The coach will tear you down. The game will build you back up.
Any record in history means nothing unless we accomplish our next goal which is to win the next game.
I am coaching for now and the future everyday.
Our focus is always on the next possession.

Geno Auriemma On March
1. Only care about how they play
2. What if you are not as good as you think you are?
3. Remember Always, it's not about you!
4. Making big plays in practice will be the same for the game
5. Success begins with practice
6. Bring something to practice everyday.
7. We will discuss how good a recruiting class is at the end of 4 years
8. Embrace the challenge that is counter to your nature, choose conflict over comfort
9. Once you are working as hard as you ever have, we have to realize that it is still not enough.
10. It all about the 6 games at the end of the season
11. The team has to share the same belief about how we are going to okay as compete.
12. In March, the good players must become great and the great players must become legends.

"Any record in history means nothing unless we accomplish our next goal which is to win the next game." -Geno Auriemma
